❌ No direct sunlight (keep it covered for the first month, then apply SPF 50+ after healing).
❌ No swimming, baths, saunas, steam rooms for at least 2-3 weeks.
❌ No scratching, picking, or peeling—this can cause fading or infection.
❌ No tight clothing that rubs against the tattoo.

What to avoid

Please see a doctor if you notice:

🚨 Redness & Swelling that worsens after a few days.
🚨 Pus, foul odour, or excessive oozing.
🚨 Fever, chills, or extreme pain.

Keep an eye on signs of infection

Leave the Bandage On for 48 hours max.

  • You can shower with this on.

  • Blood, plasma, and ink may build up inside. This is normal.

  • If this peels off earlier (due to sweat/movement), you may remove it completely and start cleaning it from there.

  • If you feel a tingling sensation, you may be allergic. Remove it, and start cleaning it.

  • Once the bandage is off, it does not need to be rewrapped with cling film.

First Wash

  • Wash your hands with antibacterial soap before touching your tattoo.

  • Gently remove the bandage and wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free, mild soap (e.g., Simple, Cetaphil).

  • Pat dry with a clean paper towel—do not rub or use your regular bath towel.

Apply a Thin Layer of fragrance-free moisturiser

  • Recommended moisturisers: Aquaphor, Aveeno, Eucerin

  • Avoid applying vaseline or coconut oil

  • Avoid thick layers—too much moisture can harbour bacteria.

Immediate Care (First 24-48 hours)

  • Continue washing and moisturising your tattoo 2 times a day with mild soap and lukewarm water.

Healing begins (Days 2-7)

  • Your tattoo will start peeling like a sunburn.

  • It might feel itchy — do not scratch! Lightly slap or tap the area if needed.

  • Keep moisturising regularly.

Peeling & Itching (Days 7-14)

  • Your tattoo should be mostly healed, but continue moisturising regularly

  • Avoid direct sun exposure—always use sunscreen (SPF 50+).

  • Keep your skin healthy to maintain tattoo vibrancy.

Long-Term Care (Day 15-19)

  • Your tattoo is largely healed after a month, though it could take 3-4 months to fully heal.

  • You can now revert to your usual soap, moisturiser, and sunblock on the area.

One month!(Day 30)
